Job Description

Are you looking to join a young and ambitious real-estate company in the midst of its rapid international expansion?  Do you have a high interest in sales & Real Estate and want to build on a solid and professional foundation?  We are seeking highly motivated and ambitious individuals to join our Broker Development Program in Amsterdam!

About the Program

The program is designed to train and develop the skills needed to become a successful Commercial Real Estate Professional. During the program, you will be exposed to all aspects of the real estate business, including sales, business development, marketing, lead generation, and more! 

During this program, you will work your way through different stages in which we will help you develop into an independent Office Space Broker. 

During the first 9-12 months, you will be trained as a Real Estate Consultant and your developmental focus will be on: 

  • Job shadowing, on-the-job training, online learning and in-house sales trainings (your initial onboarding lasts up to 6 weeks) 
  • Learning the basics of real estate sales, including how to identify and qualify leads 
  • Developing skills needed to build and maintain a client base, including prospecting, networking, and relationship building (Example KPIs: Number of qualifications, amount of LinkedIn Posts, etc.) 
  • Understanding of marketing strategies for real estate, including social media, email marketing, and other digital channels 
  • Complete assigned projects and tasks to support the brokerage team 

Once you have completed the basic sales trainings and hit key performance metrics, you will transition to the next phases of the program, Office Space Broker, where your trainings & workdays will consist of: 

  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients, including landlords and tenants, to establish a strong network and gain referrals for new business opportunities 
  • Continuing to build and maintain a client base & furthering prospecting skills 
  • Conducting property showings and tours (alongside a Senior Broker) with prospective tenants, highlighting key features and benefits of the property and answering any questions they may have 
  • Assisting tenants in negotiating lease agreements and other terms with property owners, ensuring that both parties’ interests are represented and protected 
  • Staying up to date on the local real estate market and trends, analyzing data and market reports to provide insights and recommendations to clients

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation 
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges 
  • Basic understanding of real estate principles is a plus 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Fluent in Dutch and professional proficiency in English 

Program Duration & Compensation

The Broker in Training program typically lasts between 18-22 months, depending on the progress and development of the trainee. After the completion of the program, you’ll be a fully independent Broker for Flexas & there are additional curated career objectives within Flexas that you can continue to grow into. You will also have the opportunity to coach and develop future program participants! 

Compensation during the program will be a combination of a base salary and commission-based incentives. As you progress through each stage of the program, the base salary increases per stage.
